Abstract

In this article two hydropower related applications with the open source Telemac-Suite are presented. The first case study deals with the analysis of the flow behaviour and the optimisation of the sediment drift in the reservoir of the run-of-river hydropower plant Edüng at the river Drau. The second study highlights the oscillating flow behaviour in a sand trap. Numerical investigations of the oscillations and elaborated measures how to prevent those are presented.
