Abstract

AI-Driven Quality Knowledge – Managing and Optimizing the Defect Resolution Process in Automotive Series Production. Quality issues in series production negatively affect not only customer satisfaction and brand image but can also result in significant costs arising from rework, production downtime, or recall campaigns. The defect resolution process ensures that nonconformities are systematically identified, analyzed, corrected, and permanently prevented. In practice, however, inadequate documentation and insufficient digital support may lead to measures that address symptoms rather than the underlying causes. This paper presents the concept of an AI-driven knowledge and document hub which, as a central support system, enables faster and more comprehensive root cause analyses.
