Project Details
Description
The findings of the track strategy project allow the methodology of economic evaluation to be extended to new construction elements. Knowledge of the quality behaviour of the superstructure allows an examination of the economic efficiency of - the soling of sleepers, - the installation of an asphalt base course, - integrated maintenance and - the Vienna curve. Strategies for optimisation in the area of new construction concern the - determination of the optimum spacing of crossing points, - examination of the economic efficiency of service routes and - presentation of the life cycle costs of different switch types. In addition, an evaluation approach for line straightening is outlined.
