Description
Stage 2 of the research project Traffic Noise Annoyance on Roads is an application oriented continuation of the basic research carried out in Stage 1. In Stage 1 we collected facts about the correlation between objective and subjective effects of road traffic noise.
This knowledge (especially about speed, tyres and road surface) is to be used to handle noise reduction not only with technical measures, but also to reduce the subjective annoyance of road traffic noise. This should also lead to cost reduction of traffic noise measures.
