Description

With the help of a special extension of the magnetoquasistatic A* formulation, a total current in conductive areas can be specified in an efficient manner. The difficulty lies in the fact that the eddy currents must be implicitly included in the current specification so that the total current in the conductive areas corresponds to the specified current. With the help of this extension, currents in gradient coils of MRI devices are to be specified and simulated transiently and harmonically. The excitations should be harmonic and also purely transient (e.g. short switch-off times of the coils).
