Project Details
Description
The research focuses on constructive prestressed reinforced soil and prestressing the geogrid reinforcement by compaction. In order to constructive prestrain the geogrid an example of a typical slope with a geological known sliding plane advanced with a prestressed geogrid-anchor combined system is simulated. Prestressing reinforcement as a result of compaction is demonstrated by using a three dimensional discrete element analysis (DEM) with the Particle Flow Code.
Prestressing the geogrid either constructive or as a result of compaction is used for defining a specific stress level or to minimize deformation.
