Project Details
Description
The project treats the development of methods and strategies, which are able to support conceptual body development in the automotive industry. The realization of an efficient application of knowledge-based approaches enables the acceleration of design processes. The implementation of parametric-associative CAD-model structures improves the variability of virtual product models. The integration of different disciplines in conceptual automotive development includes the consideration of legislative influences, ergonomics, packaging, simulation processes, weight calculation, production engineering, and others. The efficiency of data transfer from design to simulation processes has to be improved by the definition of specific guidelines, quality criteria, the creation of predefined interfaces and start models for the design process.
