Project Details
Description
The project proposal aims at the design of an integrated industrial process entitled to sustainable microbial production of biodegradable polyesters, polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) by starting from surplus whey upgraded to the role of a renewable raw material resource and the utlisation of the PHAs as polymer matrices for the production of environmentally sound items such as packaging mulching films and containers.
