Personal profile
Research interests
Our research focuses on non-canonical amino acids as building blocks for synthetic proteins and bioactive compounds. The non-canonical amino acids have unusual side-chains and can furnish proteins or bioactive compounds with desired traits, such as site-specific reactive handles for (bio)orthogonal conjugation, artificial or genetically encoded post-translational modifications, high performance under extreme conditions, as well as improved stability and shelf life.
